Jordan Rich Biography

Holy cow! How did Jordan ever make it this far in show business?  Jordan Rich was born and raised in Boston and has worked in the Boston radio and TV market for over twenty years. A communications major at Curry College, Jordan started his career at the age of eighteen at WRKO in Boston. From 1978 to 1982 he worked as weather reporter, morning show sidekick and eventually the morning co-host. He even got the chance to host a Broadway music show called, "Music Sunday."

In 1982, Jordan signed on with WLLH-AM as a talk-show host and handled the weekend music shift at WSSH-FM. In early 1983, Jordan was named WSSH morning host and served in that capacity until December 1995. During those years he worked with numerous community groups including the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, the March of Dimes, Easter Seals, the Massachusetts Learning Disabilities Association, and the American Red Cross.

In 1996, he signed on with WBZ NewsRadio1030 as a temporary talk-show host and eventually succeeded his longtime friend and mentor, the late Norm Nathan. Jordan loves connecting with the audience during the overnight and has interviewed hundreds of guests including best selling authors, entertainers, sports figures and health practitioners.

Along with his on-air work, Jordan maintains a full schedule running his audio production and marketing firm, Chart Productions . He has appeared on hundreds of voice-overs for clients such as the Boston Pops , Boston University, New England Sports Network, The Fleet Center, Sullivan Tire, and Liberty Mutual.  Throughout the year, Jordan and his business partner, Ken Carberry, teach voice-over classes in the Boston Metro area. A veteran storyteller on and off the air, Jordan has thrilled audiences of all sizes with his thought-provoking, "behind-the-scenes" look at the world of radio, entertainment and celebrities.  Though his speaking schedule fills up quickly, you can still book Jordan for your next event by calling Chart Productions at  (617) 542-8251 .  Be sure to ask about Jordan's exciting, new Stage Hypnosis Show .

Outside of radio and the speaking circuit, Jordan's hobbies include stage acting, reading, crossword puzzling, piano and--of course--talking the phone. He lives near Boston with his lovely wife, Wendy, and their two great kids, Lindsay and Andrew.
